Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 1.58 per cent to 54,285.86 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 2.64 per cent to 6,171.57 points.
- The index EGX35-LV soared by 2.98 per cent to 6,503.58 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, climbed by 4.39 per cent to 19,034.28 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 3.83 per cent to 24,956.02 points.
The total market cap reached 4,021,142,927,592 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 272,182,461 Egyptian pounds and 28,719,549 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Arabs were net sellers with 300,902,011 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 287.710 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Egyptian International Pharmaceuticals (EIPICO) rose by 20.00 per cent, reaching 124.800 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Misr Duty Free Shops went up by 19.99 per cent to close at 55.770 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments went down by 13.62 per cent to close at 16.550 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Sinai Cement dropped by 3.12 per cent to close at 77.600 per cent a share.
- The shares of International Co For Investment & Development by 2.32 per cent, to close at 8.010 Egyptian pounds a share.
