Gold prices in Egypt were broadly unchanged on Tuesday, reflecting steady international bullion prices and limited movement in the Egyptian pound, according to market data.

Spot gold traded at about $4,079.84 an ounce in international markets, while the US dollar was quoted at 50.3246 Egyptian pounds.

Domestic gold prices generally track international bullion prices, movements in the Egyptian pound and local retail demand.

Gold prices in Egypt are influenced by global market movements, exchange-rate fluctuations and consumer demand, making international bullion prices and the pound’s performance against the U.S. dollar the main drivers of local pricing.
