Egypt’s banking sector net foreign assets (NFAs) reached $31.2 billion in August 2026, marking their highest level since January 2020, according to data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
Net foreign assets of commercial banks rose to $12.4 billion in August, while the CBE’s net foreign assets reached $18.8 billion.
