Egypt’s central bank warns of scams seeking customers’ personal data

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) warned citizens on Wednesday against fraudulent calls and links seeking private information, saying Egypt Post and shipping companies, like banks, would never ask customers to provide their personal data by phone.

The central bank urged people to ignore suspicious calls and links requesting private information as part of its #TogetherAgainstFraud awareness campaign.
