Dr. Hazem Al-Bablawi, Egyptian Prime Minister has witnessed the sign of seven contracts between SFD ,Housing and Utilities for the rehabilitation of family homes Water Resources and Irrigation Ministries in the protection the Nile River aspects, in addition improving drinking water project with Qaliubiya for implementing infrastructure of basic labor-intensive projects under the crash program for labor-intensive operation.
The Contracts are including many projects in different fields such as Rehabilitation of homes families in three governorates (Assiut – Minya – Qena) and in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.
The project will contribute for qualifying and improving 1720 homes of poor families with EGP 77.5 million total cost, and with financing from the World Bank.
The contracts also include the protection of Nile River project in five governorates including (Beni Suef, Sohag, Assiut – Giza – Western – Damietta) and in collaboration with the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, where is the protection of the Nile River aspects to these governorates with approximately 3.56 km worth EGP 10.82 million.
It was contracted drinking water improvement project in Qaliubiya to extend drinking water networks in the deprived areas with 26 km worth EGP 1.72 million.
