BREAKING: Egypt’s Morsi Appoints Defence Lawyer

Egypt’s toppled president Mohamed Morsi has appointed Islamist thinker Mohamed Selim El-Awa as his defence lawyer in his jailbreak trial.

In a separate trial for inciting violence, Morsi repeatedly refused to appoint a lawyer, saying he did not recognise the court’s authority, according to Al-Ahram online.
