Security forces have found an explosives-loaded car in Giza, just hours after a car bomb in the same area denoted accidently, killing three suspected militants, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
The first bomb detonated while the car was driving in Al-Saf in Giza.
Police tightened security in the area, foiling another car bomb attack and arresting the suspected militant inside.
Egypt has witnessed an upsurge in attacks, mainly targeting security forces and installations, since the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi last year.
In earlier attacks, suspected militants have planted bombs that exploded simultaneously or within a limited time frame. A series of small bombings outside the Ittihadiya presidential palace on the anniversary of Morsi’s ouster killed two senior policemen, while they were trying to defuse the explosives.
