Egypt is aiming to register plastic exports amounting to EGP12 billion by the end of the current year, move up by 100% growth rates in compared to the last year, according to Head of Plastics Division at Chemical Export Council Khaled Abou El Makarem.
Abou El Makarem further said Egyptian Plastics exports to the foreign markets achieved EGP7 billion within the first half of the current year, noting that 35% of plastics in Egypt is recycling.
Plastic industries became the ‘dark horse’, noting that the growth rate of plastic sector ups to 2.4% of chemical industries.
Furthermore, the major problems which are facing the investor in plastic recycling industry is to find plastic bottles needs.
