Sisi’ China Visit Important, says Veteran Diplomat

Head of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Ibrahim Shaker said President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s landmark visit to China,which started on Monday 22/12/2014 is important as China has all capabilities of major powers.

Sisi has left for China earlier in the day on a several days’ visit. During his stay, Sisi will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on ways to boost bilateral ties.

Egypt should have strong ties with China, Shaker added. He said China has a major opportunity to take part in giant projects that are being carried out in Egypt.

Shaker hailed the deeply-rooted ties binding Egypt and China, saying China supports Arab and Egyptian causes.
