Egypt’s stock market shares climbed on Tuesday, in which the main index, EGX30 has crossed 9950 points. Yet, the market capitalisation has dipped by 408 million Egyptian pounds (US$53.5 million) to record 538.307 billion pounds.
The rest of the Egyptian Exchange’s indices were also wavering in green notes during the closing session of Tuesday.

The main stock index, EGX30 edged up by 1.26 per cent to 9954.34 points. EGX20 surged by 1.48 per cent to 11075.72 points.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 hiked by 1.95% to 589.67 points. The price index, EGX100 also grew by 1.54% to 1162.96 points.
Turnovers Jump to EGP13 billion
Throughout the closing session of Tuesday, the trading volume has reached 250.644 million securities, with turnovers climbed to EGP 13.660 billion, exchanged through 32.322 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 180 listed securities have been traded in; 30 declined, 126 advanced; while 21 kept their previous levels.
Furthermore, the market capitalization recorded EGP 538.307 billion on Tuesday.
Investors’ Activities
The non-Arab foreign and Arab investors were net buyers on Tuesday acquiring 93.46% and 0.54% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 5.657 million and EGP 3.108 million, respectively, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, local investors were net sellers seizing 6% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 8.166 million, excluding the deals.
