IBM Chairwoman confirms Participation in Egypt’s Economic Summit

The US multinational technology corporation IBM will take part in Egypt’s upcoming Economic Summit, chairwoman and CEO Virginia Rometty announced on Wednesday.

According to Rometty, Egypt’s March summit represents a great chance to offer and present IBM’s services and programmes in front of Egyptian as well as international investors participating in the event.

During her meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Minister of Communication Atef Helmy, Rometty said IBM believes that Egyptians are writing a new page in the road of development represented in offering giant promising projects like the New Suez Canal project.

In addition, she added that the modern marine services require advanced technology to be in accordance with international standards.

Such advanced technological applications will contribute to lowered costs and the best usage of resources, Rometty noted. She pointed out that IBM cooperates with number of countries in providing programming services soas to administrate ports.
