BREAKING: Explosion injures 24 soldiers in security camp in Sinai’s Arish

Twenty four soldiers were injured on Tuesday as bomb-laden water truck which attempted to storm their camp in Al-Arish, Sinai, exploded after soldiers shot at it, Ahram Arabic news website quoted Sky News Arabia.

The camp is located in El-Sawaeed area in the city.

A worker at an adjacent electricity facility died as a result of the explosion.

Some buildings around the camp were damaged during the blast.

Tuesday attack on the security camp marks the first major terror operation against a security post in the restive peninsula since Islamist militants killed 30 soldiers and civilians in October.
