EMRC seizes 20% of Mortgage Finance Firms’ Portfolio in Egypt

The Egyptian Mortgage Refinance Company (EMRC) captures 20 percent of the total portfolio of mortgage finance firms in Egypt, chairman and managing director Lobna Helal said Tuesday.

In Egypt, the total portfolio of mortgage finance companies amounts to 2.2 billion Egyptian pounds (US$327.5 million). EMRC has 500 million Egyptian pounds in portfolio.
