Egypt’s stocks finished lower on Tuesday with losses worth 401 million Egyptian pounds (US$ 52.5 million).
The market capitalization has recorded 492.076 billion pounds during the closing session of Tuesday.
Indices
Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 slided by 0.13 percent to 8660.9 points.
EGX20 sagged by 0.51 percent to 8901.5 points.
In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 plummeted by 0.71 percent to 452.8 points.
The price index, EGX100 decreased by 0.46 percent to 961.49 points.
Turnovers low
On Tuesday, the bourse’s trading volume has registered 140.335 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 429.362 million, exchanged through 18.834 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 171 listed securities have been traded in; 75 declined, 49 advanced; while 47 kept their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Arab and Non-Arab investors were net sellers on Tuesday getting 8.54 % and 24.01% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 12.683 million and EGP 5.657 million, respectively, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, the Egyptian investors were net buyers capturing 67.45% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 18.341 million, excluding the deals.
