Ministry of Supply and the National Bank of Egypt – Khartoum formed a joint committee to boost cooperation in ongoing and future projects in the Sudan, minister Khaled Hanafy announced Tuesday.
Minister Hanafy has met Tuesday with Osama Elmessiry – General Manager of NBE-Khartoum to discuss cooperation and partnership between the two parties in the ministry’s agreements with the Sudanese authorities.
From his part, minister Hanafy said his ministry intends to import Sudanese meat to be offered to the consumer complexes with discounts. It also plans to export food products made by the state-run Food Industries Holding Company to the Sudanese market.
Meanwhile, Elmessiry said NBE-Khartoum is keen to fully support the Egyptian ministry in carrying out projects and agreements signed with the Sudanese government. NBE-Khartoum aims to provide all the food commodities at competitive prices to bring relief among citizens in both Egypt and Sudan.
