Egyptian Cabinet endorsed Wednesday eight billion Egyptian pounds (US$900.7 million) for state’s grain buyer General Authority For Supply Commodities (GASC) to provide basic commodities.
Supply Minister Khaled Hanafy stated that the $900 million will be dedicated for achieving amounts of food commodities necessary for stability in commodities’ prices in markets.
The minister added that supply ministry is currently upgrading the system of selling and distributing bread beside innovating bread point system that would enable the citizen to get free commodities worth 6 pounds.
