MOT Plans to Enhance Beach Tourism Over Protests

First assistant to tourism minister Hesham Zazou said the ministry will work on enhancing tourism in the places far from the political tension, after mounting the protests due to the result of presidential elections plus the protests in different squares over the verdicts issued against the former president Mubarak, Habib al-Adly and the acquittal of Gamal and Alaa Mubarak and the six assistants of interior minister.

Zazou said Cairo, Luxor and Aswan are mostly influenced by the protests, so the ministry focuses on the beach tourism, through marketing and flights, particularly in Sharm Al Sheikh and Hurghada during the coming period.

The ministry will start working on enhancing the beach tourism the coming season, next October.
