Vodafone Egypt generated revenues worth 7.8 billion Egyptian pounds (€796 million) during the first half of financial year 2016-2017, marking a decrease of 200 million pounds from the same period last year.
The mobile operator said is reported its financial results in euros before Egypt’s central bank had decided to float the Egyptian pound early on November 3rd.
Profits before taxes reached 3.5 billion pounds (€356 million), while, operational profits registered 2 billion pounds (€205 million).
