Egypt’s Ministry of Finance plans to issue treasury bills and treasury bonds totalling 92.15 billion Egyptian pounds (around $5 billion) this February, compared to 87 billion pounds issued in the same period in 2016.
The ministry has estimated the country’s budget deficit for the financial year 2016-2017 at 319.46 billion pounds, compared to 339.5 billion worth of deficit during the financial year 2015-2016.
