European Union investments in Egypt fell to $1.459 billion in the fourth quarter from the third, a recent report by the Egyptian central bank showed.
Investments stood at $2.384 billion during the third quarter of the 2016/2017 financial year.
UK took the lead on investments to Egypt among EU countries, recording $693 million at the end of June.
Arab investment inflows to Egypt reached $416 million approximately at the end of June, compared to $300 million at the end of March.
Saudi Arabia topped the Gulf investments to Egypt, recording $167.5 million from $37.7 million. UAE investments reached $147.2 million; while Kuwait’s stood at $35.3 million.
