Egypt to offer units of phase I for reservation in new capital after Eid al-Fitr
Egypt’s Ministry of Housing will start offering the first phase’s units up for reservation at the third residential district in the state’s new administrative capital after the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, said Minister on Saturday.
“The ministry is supervising the implementation of the fully-furnished units in the new capital,” Moustafa Madbouly further stated, adding that these units are to be delivered within one-year timeframe.
Madouly referred that the third residential district is set to include a fully-fledged service area as well as a number of international schools and a hospital.
Located 40km (24.8 miles) east of Cairo, the under-construction new capital city is part of the Egyptian government’s plan to expand urban areas to deal with the country’s rapid population growth and improve the nation’s infrastructure.
The city will feature 1,250 mosques and churches, a 5,000-seat conference center, nearly 2,000 schools and colleges, over 600 medical facilities and a park that is projected to be the world’s largest.
