IFE Discusses Sound Pricing At Fire Insurance Symposium Next September

The Fire Insurance Committee at the Insurance Federation of Egypt will discuss the importance of sound technical pricing and the sound underwriting practices in its second symposium in 2012 next September.

Walid El-Sayed, member at the committee, said Symposiums will be held in all insurance companies in Egypt.

El-Sayed added that the committee studied some of the laws regulating the fire insurance underwriting due to the high rate of fire accidents.

Sound underwriting is the backbone of insurance companies as it is a move towards reducing the value of compensations in the upcoming period, El-Sayed affirmed. It is worth mentioning that the Fire Insurance Committee held a symposium last February.
