EFSA: Number Of Insurance Brokerage Firms Registered 34 In May
The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority’s (EFSA) report showed that the number of insurance brokerage companies reached 34 in May 2012. The number of insurance brokers reached 6157 in May, compared to 5989 in April.
In pursuant to act no.10 of 1981 and its executive regulations for insurance control and supervision in Egypt, 6 brokers’ memberships were renewed in May, compared to 13 renewals in April.
The number of inspection and risk management companies remained the same in May. There are 43 risk management companies, 521 experts, 11 consultants, 300 insurance experts and 20 actuarial experts.
