The Information Technology Industry Development Agency “ITIDA” is considering organizing a local fair for small and medium-sized enterprises to offer their products to international companies during the next few months.
Source at ITIDA told Amwal Al Ghad that the fair will be funded using the rest of EGP 10 million allocated for promoting IT exports of small and medium-sized Enterprises, noting that ITIDA financed about 65 operating companies amid the marketing plan. Source added that ITIDA supported companies to join to join multiple exhibitions to offer their products & services as well as providing a number of individual trips for companies.
Sources added that an amount of EGP 10.9 million has been allocated for the product development program to include 205 small and medium-sized companies specialized in software development.
It is noted that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched its development program last February, at a total cost of EGP 30 million to support Small and Micro Enterprises in developing their Egyptian products in the field of information technology and encouraging those companies to expand into new local and regional markets so as to increase their exports
