Egypt to not introduce inheritance tax: Finance Ministry
Egypt’s Finance Ministry has denied reports that it will impose new inheritance or real estate taxes, according to Mubasher.
A tax on real estate deals was imposed in 2005 and remains valid, collected when inheritors sell properties, so it’s not an inheritance tax, the ministry said in a statement, explaining that there is no tax on just the transfer of ownership.
MoF also stressed that strategy of a stable tax policy, in order to maintain a positive environment for investors.
