Israeli Air Strike Kills Gaza Gunman On Motorbike

An Israeli air strike killed a Palestinian gunman and wounded another on Sunday as they rode a motorbike in the southern Gaza Strip, near the border with Egypt, hospital officials said.

Factional affiliations for the casualties were not immediately given. In Jerusalem, an Israeli military spokesman confirmed an air strike had taken place but did not elaborate.

Israel and Gaza-based militant groups have periodically exchanged fire in recent months. Israeli officials say Palestinians have been behind some attacks staged from Egypt’s Sinai region.
