Egyptian exports to Sudan grew 35.9 percent to 8.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($452.3 million) in 2017 from 6 billion pounds in 2016, Egypt’s state-run statics agency CAMPAS said on Monday.
“Sudan is one of the largest Nile Basin countries importing from Egypt,” CAMPAS said in its recent bulletin.
Egypt’s imports from Sudan rose 158 percent to 1.9 billion pounds last year, compared with 700 million pounds a year earlier, the agency added.
