Egypt’s El Sewedy unit wins Port Said’s industrial district substation deal

Egyptian cable maker El Sewedy Electric said on Saturday one of its affiliates has signed a contract to build an industrial district substation in Port Said.

Elsewedy Electric for Trading and Distribution said that the turnkey agreement is on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis with a total value of E£550 million (equivalent to $32 million).

The EPC contract will be implemented over a 10-month period commencing from the date of delivery of the land and receive the advance payment which comes later.
