Michael Froman, US Deputy Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor for International Economic, has urged the Egyptian government to implement political and economic reforms through the International Monetary Fund (IMF), to achieve developments , ” We encourage Egypt’s economy to flourish”.
In his keynotes during the conference of businessmen that organized by the American Chamber in Cairo, Michael Froman announced that the US delegation to Egypt will sign an agreement to bolster the middle and small entrepreneurs, and it will provide a study, during the bilateral session to be held later on Sunday, for the necessary funds to update the technological sector in Cairo International Airport, and improving the Egyptian ports.
He added that both of the agreement and study are aiming at increasing trade between Egypt and the US, which start with eliminating smuggling that ruins the world’s economies.
Froman underscored Egypt might become the fifth example of the emerging economies, such like Turkey, Malaysia and Brazil. But this needs exerting more effort whether by the government and businessmen or investment.
