AfDB shares its projects in East Africa region

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has shared its projects in East Africa region on Monday, which cover various sectors; energy, water, and infrastructure in Kenya, Rwanda, Madagascar, and Uganda.

In Rwanda, Kigali Bulk Water Supply Project was established in 2021, and it has produced 40,000m3 ever since. The project has improved water services for around 500,000 individuals.

In Uganda, Farm Income Enhancement and Forestry Conservation Programme-2 (FIEFOC-2) provides more than 3,000 rice farmers with constant water source.

Madagascar’s project, Madagascar-Beira Port Corridor Development and Trade Facilitation Project, improves connectivity with two seaports, as well as neighboring Indian Ocean countries.

Kenya’s project, Last Mile Connectivity Project, has boosted the voltage network to reach 600-meters diameter and around 1.5 million people are expected to benefit from this project.
