AIIB to direct investments for supporting Egypt clean energy projects

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will direct its clean energy investments to Egypt through Nexus on Water, Food and Energy Programme (NWFE), its vice president for policy and strategy Danny Alexander, said on Monday.

Answering a question by Amwal Al Ghad Magazine, Alexander further said that AIIB is proud to be a part of NWFE partnership, which works with other multilateral development banks to reduce Egypt’s carbon emissions.

Egypt’s country Platform NWFE aims to mobilise climate finance and private investments from multiple international financing institutions to accelerate the national climate agenda and support the country’s green transition, Alexander added.
