Al Azhary Receives Report Over Egyptian Labor In Yemen

Egyptian Minister of Manpower and Immigration, Khaled Al Azhary, has received a report from Akram Mohamed Badawy, Yemeni Manpower Advisor, over the conditions of the Egyptian labor in Yemen during 2012.

The report encompassed the volume of the Egyptian labor in Yemen, about 6000 workers. It informed the 19 complaints that filed at this period; whereas 13 ones were resolved, 3 problems referred to the concerned authorities, while 3 complaints are still under investigations.

As for creating job opportunities to the Egyptian labor in Yemen, the office had provided about 140 ones in 2012, and it also ratified their rights and financial dues to the Egyptian labor, which reached $16 million during the same period.

The report confirmed that the Egyptian labor is preferred in the Yemeni market; especially in medicine and engineering majors as well as teaching in universities.

The minister has underscored the necessity of the employers’ advisers in work and production locations amid workers to know their problems, besides trying to immediately resolve them.
