Al-Rajhi Group To Build $100m Mineral Salts Production Plant In Egypt

Egyptian industry minister Hatem Salem has announced Saudi-based Al-Rajhi Group is set to build a large industrial complex in Egypt for producing mineral salts from Lake Moeris in the northwest of the Faiyum Oasis.

The $100m project is one of the greatest investment ventures to be established in the field of extracting mineral salts in Egypt, said Salem. The project aims at extracting and manufacturing 120,000 tonnes annually of sodium sulphate and 150,000 tonnes annually of magnesium sulphate, sodium chloride and potassium chloride.
