Arab Contractors to build new Residential City in Ethiopia at 2015-end

Egypt’s Arab Contractors intends to start before the end of this year works on a new residential city project in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, chairman Mohsen Salah revealed Monday.

Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad on Monday, the Egyptian official further said Arab Contractors is also studying the implementation of some infrastructure projects in Kenya.

AC Chairman said his company is currently finalizing studies on the residential city project, in cooperation with the Ethiopian government. The studies aim to specify the project’s requirements of raw material and to identify the targeted business volume of buildings and utilising.

He added that this project is part of Arab Contractors’ plan to expand presence into the Ethiopian market through carrying out a number of giant projects there.

Moreover, the Arab Contractors official stated that the company is studying a new group of projects in Kenya, including sectors of infrastructure.

Arab Contractors is aiming at increasing its business share of utility projects in several African countries, notably Kenya and Senegal, Salah concluded.
