Arab Markets Receive Egyptian Exports worth $8.9 bln in 2013

Arab countries have received Egyptian exports, amounting to US $ 8.9 billion during 2013, 1% higher than a year earlier.

According to sources from the Foreign Trade Sector spoke to Amwal Al Ghad on Wednesday, Egypt’s exports to the Arab markets were mainly in 3 sectors; building materials, chemicals and engineering.

Egyptian exports of building materials have captured the lion’s share of the country’s total exports to the Arab markets, recording US $ 2 billion, the source added. In addition, Egypt’s chemical exports to the Arab countries hit US $ 1.1 billion, followed by the petrochemical exports which neared US $ 900 million during 2013.
