Arab Misr Insurance – GIG Attains EGP87.6 mln Written Premiums in 3 Months

Alaa El-Zoheiry, managing director of Arab Misr Insurance Group – GIG Egypt, said his company succeeded in achieving EGP87.6 million written premiums within the first quarter of 2013.

El-Zoheiry has informed Amwal Al Ghad in an exclusive that the total paid-up compensations for GIG’s customers reached around EGP38 million at the end of Q1 of the fiscal year 2013-2014.

He added that the total investment portfolio of GIG up EGP438 million at the end of the last of September, pointing out that the insurance activity surplus registered EGP18 million during Q1 of FY13/14.

He further explained that the total assets of GIG are EGP594 million September-end, noting that the net profits reached EGP26.5 million in the same period, against EGP19.7 million net profits inclusive of taxes.
