The Arab Orient Takaful Insurance Company (AOTIC) plans to relaunch its retail products which are known as “Safe Family Group”, said Wael Abdel Mohsen, deputy executive director for marketing and sales affairs at the company.
The Group includes Safe Travel, Safe Lives, Safe Home and Safe Business that the company stopped offering in the last period. The company stopped offering Safe Home and Safe Business products directly after 2011’s revolution, he added.
The company is relaunching products to individuals and medium-sized enterprises as the large companies are currently witnessing recession, he noted.
Abdel Mohsen revealed that the company has succeeded in issuing micro-insurance policies to cater to the needs of low-income people.
It is worth mentioning that the Arab Orient Takaful Insurance Company achieved premiums written of EGP 78.874 million in the first half of FY 2012/2013, compared with EGP 49.378 million in the first half of the last fiscal year.
