Asian markets briefing 15/05/2023

The Asian markets closed high on Monday with the Chinese main index, SSEC, rising by 1.17 percent to close at 3,310.74. The index gained 38.37 points, recording a day high value of 3,310.74 and a day low value of 3,235.87.

Japan’s main index, Nikkei 225, climbed by 0.81 percent to 29,626.34, gaining 238.04 points. The index recorded a day high value of 29,629.47 and a day low value of 29,475.97.

Hong Kong’s main index, HSI, soared by 1.69 percent to 19,960.60 after it gained 331.06 points. It recorded a day high value of 20,063.35 and a day low value of 19,498.04.
