Asian markets briefing 16/05/2023

The majority of the Asian markets closed high on Tuesday with the Japanese main index, Nikkei 225, rising by 0.73 percent. The index closed at 29,842.99 gaining 216.65 points. It recorded a day high value of 29,916.56 and a day low value of 29,779.07.

HSI, Hong Kong’s main index, climbed by 0.04 percent to 19,978.25, gaining 7.12 points. It recorded a day high value of 20,183.28 and a day low value of 19,891.49.

SSEC, China’s main index, fell by -0.60 percent to 3,290.99 losing 19.75 points. It recorded a day high value of 3,317.90 and a day low value of 3,282.49.
