Asian markets briefing 17/04/2023

The Asian markets closed high on Monday, with the Chinese main index, SSEC, climbing by 1.42 percent. The index gained 47.46 points to close at 3,385.61. It recorded a day high value of 3,385.61, the closing value, and a day low value of 3,336.39.

Nikkei 225, Japan’s main index, rose slightly by 0.07 percent and gained 21.31 points to close at 28,514.78. The index recorded a day high value of 28,599.75 and a day low value of 28,414.98.

HSI, inched up by 1.68 percent to 20,782.45, gaining 343.64 points. It recorded a day high value of 20,864.74 and a day low value of 20,299.15.
