Assiut Diesel Production Complex partners with EPROM for operational trials

Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC) is partnering with the Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance (EPROM) to prepare for the operational trials of Assiut Diesel Production Complex, according to a Petroleum Ministry statement on Wednesday.

This major project is expected to meet the diesel needs of Upper Egypt and create significant economic opportunities for the region. EPROM will provide skilled labour to support the final stages of construction, as well as the operational trials and subsequent operation and maintenance of the complex.

The complex is currently 78 per cent complete and is scheduled to begin operational trials in 2025. This partnership marks a key milestone in EPROM’s involvement in the project.

In addition to its operational role, EPROM is also supporting a capacity-building programme for recent graduates from Upper Egypt. The programme will help to develop the local workforce and ensure the successful operation of the new diesel production complex.
