Banque Du Caire seeks to expand overseas presence and inaugurate representative offices in the next two years in Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Turkey.
The bank awaits the required approvals from the executive committee and the board of directors to take this move, said Mohamed Taha, deputy chairman of the bank.
Banque Du Caire also plans to expand locally through launching new branch in Al-Shorouk City as well as SME finance units in El-Marg, Ashmoon and Tama.
It is worth mentioning that Cairo International Bank (Kampala)’s capital was raised by US$ 4 million to reach US$ 10 million. The Uganda-based Cairo International Bank is a joint venture between several Egyptian banks and businesses, including: Banque Du Caire, National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr and Kato Aromatics SAE. The three Egyptian incurred the capital increase until reaching an agreement to determine the volume of Kato Aromatics’ share.
