Belgium’s DEME is establishing a hydrogen product in Egypt, with investment valuing $3 billion for the first phase, according to a statement by the Egyptian Cabinet on Wednesday.
CEO Luc Vandenbulcke said DEME is keen on expanding green hydrogen projects in Egypt in a meeting with Egypt’s Prime minister Mostafa Madbouly, the statement read.
The project will be developed in three phases, it added.
The meeting was on the sidelines of Global Gateway forum, organized by EU Commission , held in Brussels on the 25th and 26th of October.
