BPO Industry to provide 100,000 Job Opportunities by 2017

Eng. Hany Mahmoud, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stated that the BPO Industry will witness remarkable growth in the coming period, providing 100,000 job opportunities by 2017.

He added on the sidelines of the fourth job fair held by Edu-Egypt program that Egypt occupies the fourth ranking in the outsourcing and call center sector, pointing out that the number of employees working in that sector reaches about 40 thousands.

He stressed on the importance of giving special attention to the BPO industry, looking forward to achieving the international volume of growth in that sector, as in Philippines in which the sector provides 400 job opportunities. He also expressed his hope that the call center field would significantly impact the national income.
