BREAKING: Egypt reports 33 new coronavirus cases, 4 deaths

Egypt confirmed 33 new coronavirus cases, bringing its total to 609, the country’s health ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

The new cases of the virus are all Egyptians, who were in contact with other patients, the ministry added.

Egypt also reported 4 new deaths from the flu-like virus, bringing its total to 40, it said.

The four fatalities are all Egyptians aged between 58-84 years old. They were living in Cairo, according to health ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed.

The total number of people recovered from the disease rose to 132, Megahed said.
