Cabinet drafts law to form Egyptian national authority for food security

The Egyptian Cabinet finished preparing a draft law to establish national authority for food security to fulfil requirements of food security, state’s Minister of Legal and parliament affairs announced.

Magdy El-Agaty stated Saturday -in a press release- that the authority would be responsible for supervising food field to prevent manipulating.

The minister added that the draft law comes as pursuant to government’s plan to tighten supervision on food in its all processes in order to get safe food.

Minister El-Agaty noted that the draft has been sent to the State Council to be revised then in order to be submitted to the Cabinet so as it endorses the final law then to be sent to the parliament.
