Eng. Hatem Saleh, Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, held talks with Tawfiq al-Rabiah, the Saudi Minister of Industry and Trade. The talks tackled the ways of bolstering the joint cooperation between the two countries in the commercial, industrial and investment joint fields; and working on opening new paths for the investment cooperation between the two countries for the interest of the joint national economy.
Both of the Minister of Investment, Osama Saleh, and the Saudi ambassador to Cairo, Ahmed Al Kattan, participated in the talks.
Hatem Saleh reaffirmed that Egypt keens on enhancing the joint cooperation with KSA in the commercial and industrial fields, so as to open new fields for the joint investments.
He said new mechanisms for raising the future cooperation between the Egyptian and Saudi sides, working on constructing economic and commercial joint ventures, and providing facilities for the businessmen in the two countries.
The minister added that the talks also discussed the necessity of setting new mechanisms for highly promoting the joint economic and investment cooperation level to serve the national economy in both countries. He referred that the development of relations between Egypt and KSA represents a strong power that helps the future of the Egyptian-Saudi cooperation in the coming period.
Dr Tawfiq al-Rabiah, on his side, reaffirmed that his country keens on boosting the cooperation with Egypt more than any other country, due to the special relations between the Egyptian and Saudi people. He wished that the inter-regional trade between the two countries reaches its utmost rates during the forthcoming period, as Egypt occupies the first position in the investments in KSA more than any other country.
On the other side, both of Hatem Saleh and Tawfiq al-Rabiah opened the joint meeting for the Egyptian-Saudi Business Council, which was attended by a number of Egyptian and Saudi businessmen.
