Cairo To Receive Delegation of 50 US Companies

Next week Egypt will receive an American business delegation that includes 50 of the whopping American companies. The delegation is headed by Lionel C. Johnson, Vice President of Middle East Affairs, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Steven Farris, CEO of Apache, which has  more than $10 billion investments in Egypt, who will attend as representatives of the private sector, in addition to Thomas R. Nides, Deputy Secretary for Management and Resources and Michael Froman, Deputy National Security Adviser; who will be representatives of the US government.

The visit, which will be organized by the American Chamber jointly with the joint business council,  aims at discussing the new investing opportunities in Egyptian Market, also the ways of developing the role of the private sector in developing the Egyptian economy during the coming period. It also will show the trust of US economy in the Egyptian investing climate.

This visit came in the framework of the meetings that the US government has recently held to provide economic aids to Cairo. A number of representatives of ministry of trade, the US Agency for Trade and Development will participate in the event.
