Care Plus Eyes 15% Increase In Premiums In 2013

Care Plus HealthCare Company targets to increase premiums by 15% in 2013, said Hesham Maged, managing director of the company.

The company succeeded in achieving 95% of the planning target in 2012, as the company planned to increase premiums by 12% in 2012. Given the current political turmoil in Egypt, the company delayed its plan concerning increasing its capital from EGP 3 million to EGP 5 million. Companies are no longer able to set detailed plans in the upcoming period because of the current unrest, he noted. 

Care Plus HealthCare Company cooperates with most medical care providers in Egypt. Maged who also a member at the Egyptian Association for Health Care Administration said he currently finalizes the guiding version of the model contract to be discussed at the Association’s board of directors’ meeting.

If approved by the Association, the guiding version will be submitted to the Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE). He revealed that IFE and the Association will meet by the middle of next month to discuss the possible methods for bringing  into effect the protocol of cooperation.
