CBE: monthly transactions via mobile wallets increase to EGP 100bln

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced on Thursday that the monthly transactions via mobile wallets services in Egypt have increased to a value of 100 billion Egyptian pounds.

The country’s providers of mobile wallet services climbed to 30, including telecom operators, providing the service through 30 banks.

Citizens used their wallets for transferring and receiving money, as well as withdrawing and depositing services the most.
